Ending Campus Sexual Violence: Outcomes from the Culture of Respect Collective Program

Virtual Live Briefings Health, Safety, and Well-being Campus Safety and Violence Prevention Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevention, Education, and Response AVP or "Number Two" Mid-Level Senior Level VP for Student Affairs

Over the last decade, addressing sexual violence in higher education has been an issue so complex that many colleges and universities have struggled to know where to start. The Culture of Respect Collective is an evidence informed, comprehensive public health solution that addresses this challenge by working collaboratively with leadership and campus stakeholders to make the necessary institutional and cultural changes that foster a systemic, upstream approach to prevention, rather than solely dealing with the immediacy of the crisis.

In this session, we will present data and takeaways from a recently published report that details the outcomes from the first two cohorts of this two-year program. Participants will come away with an understanding of the facilitators and barriers to effectively implementing this sexual violence prevention initiative, as well as be able to articulate how participation in the Culture of Respect Collective may impact their own institutional efforts.
