Healthy Colleges Montana

Health, Safety, and Well-being Mid-Level

For 15 years, the formerly known Montana Collegiate Tobacco Prevention Initiative (MCTPI) has supported college and university efforts to reduce use and exposure to tobacco across the state. In 2017, the initiatives expanded its scope of work beyond tobacco to include additional chronic disease prevention areas of concern. With the expansion, the project name of MCPTI no longer accurately described the efforts of our campuses. Healthy Colleges Montana, or HCM, was selected by the coalition as the new project name.

Healthy Colleges Montana is managed by the Health, Safety, and Well-being Initiatives team of NASPA. Please email HCMontana@naspa.org with any inquiries.

The HCM utilizes an online system, HCM Learning Community, designed to help college and university prevention teams share resources, implement best practices, and learn from each other.  Any member of a Montana higher education organization can access professional development, resources, and strategies for collaborative problem solving through HCM Learning Community. This community allows for the breakdown of geographical barriers to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
