AVP Dialogue: How COVID Turned the Engagement of Online Learners from Supplemental to Required for All
Virtual Engagement Events Health, Safety, and Well-being Student Success Policy and Advocacy AVP or "Number Two" Senior Level
January 26, 2021 3:00PM - 4:30PM ET
The NASPA AVP Steering Committee has established the AVP Dialogue Series to provide additional opportunities to AVPs (and the equivalent) for professional discourse on topics that impact our institutions, our students, and the profession. Each topic-specific dialogue will be facilitated by one or more of your AVP peers who will kick off the discussion and provide enough structure for attendees to get the most out of this opportunity to engage virtually in a community of similarly professionally situated colleagues. This is not intended to be a “sit and listen while doing other things” experience. We expect participating AVPs to be fully engaged in the dialogue…the conversation will go where you take it!
If you’re a sitting AVP (or the equivalent), please join your “AVPeeps” for the next Dialogue on January 26!

How COVID Turned the Engagement of Online Learners from Supplemental to Required for All
Tuesday, January 26, 2021 | 3:00PM - 4:30PM ET
In March 2020, NASPA published Online & Engaged: Innovative Student Affairs Practices for Online Learner Success. This book was written before COVID-19, and then the pandemic hit and forced most of us to deliver all our services online. Several book contributors will provide an overview of their chapters on engagement, mental health support, and equity for online learners as well as lessons subsequently learned since the start of COVID-19. Participants will then have an opportunity to engage in conversation with the authors and each other on this topic as we start another semester online and during the pandemic.
