Call for Programs
Call for Programs priority deadline is August 1, 2024
Accepted programs presenters will be notified by the beginning of September 2024
Our goal is to have sessions relevant to meet the diverse professional needs and interests of our attendees. Thus, presenters from all functional areas of student affairs and varying levels of professional experience are invited to submit a program proposal.
As you prepare your proposals, please keep the following in mind:
We are excited about getting together in November, providing space for connections and professional learning. We ask that the program submissions align with the topical areas we are seeking to focus on:
-
Professional Competencies- getting back to the basics of areas such as supervision, initiative, organization, and other essential skills.
-
What does it mean to be a professional and work in Higher Education?- focus on developing professionalism, goals, professional growth and career planning.
-
What great research is being done?- we invite those who have conducted research through a masters or doctoral program, or even through your position, to share your work, knowledge you have learned, and how we should apply it to our work.
-
About Today’s Student- what are the current trends and issues surrounding our present students? are there best practices to work with, support, and engage our current student population?
Programs will be evaluated on the following criteria:
-
Relevance to the Vision of NASPA, the Competency Areas, and the Conference Purpose
-
Development of content, including evidence of planning and organization
-
Clearly stated objectives and outcomes
-
Contribution to the knowledge and practice of student affairs/relevance to the field
-
Learning/take away for participants
Submit your program proposal today!
