Centering Student Well-being and Sexual Violence Prevention in a Time of Competing Demands
August 28, 2019
Student affairs leaders know centering student health and well-being is essential to supporting student success. Yet, prioritizing prevention programs and health services, including those that address sexual violence, is a challenge given the competing demands for student and staff limited time and bandwidth.
Dr. Penny Rue will moderate a panel discussion of leaders in the field from student affairs, Title IX, and violence prevention to speak about the challenge of balancing these demands; why centering well-being benefits both the individual and the institution; and ways in which they’ve fostered institutional innovation, collaboration, and efficiency to make the most of their resources.
This webinar is presented by Culture of Respect, NASPA’s signature initiative to build the capacity of educational institutions to end sexual violence through ongoing, expansive organizational change.
