Women's Words of Wisdom: Teresa Clounch (Dr. TLC)

Please join us, Tuesday Oct. 29^th at 8:00 p.m. at the conference hotel for the fourth annual Women's Words of Wisdom Dessert Reception. This event provides an opportunity for women in student affairs to socialize and hear from outstanding women in the field providing words of inspiration in the hopes of supporting our female colleagues at all levels of their career. Phenomenal women, we believe to be role models in the field, will provide a 5 minute prepared SA Speaks style presentation to participants about lessons learned, motivation, inspiration, or anything else she might feel would be beneficial in sharing with women as they make the journey of their career path. To showcase the women who will be speaking this year in Fargo, ND we will highlight them leading up to the conference. For our first installment, we are thrilled to share with you Dr. Teresa Clounch.

Teresa Clounch, Ed. D, is a Higher Education Administrator with more than 25 years of experience in alumni development, multicultural affairs, student housing, judicial affairs and academic advising. She has experience with diversity training for college students and administrators. She has direct experience with advising college students, student conduct, and student housing management. Teresa has worked at a two-year community college, independent two year women's college, four-year regional university, research university and small four-year independent university. She is currently the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Student Life at Fort Hays State University, where she oversees the Memorial Union, Residential Life, Student Health Center, and Counseling and Academic Services.

She has a wide variety of leadership and presentation experience including Co-Instructor of Introduction to Leadership, LeaderShape Institute, Challenge Course Facilitator, Presenter at state-wide and regional conferences and universities.  She is also on the Kansas Association for Youth Summer Camp Staff Member for Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), where she has served on the KSHSAA Board of Directors. Teresa is also a Leadership Emporia graduate, Leadership Kansas graduate, past Chair of Leadership Kansas, a member of Chapter BQ of PEO and a member of the Alpha Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Teresa’s involvement in NASPA has spanned the past 20 years. Dr. Clounch currently serves as the NASPA Region IV-W Regional Director-Elect. Previous roles within NASPA IV-W have been 2015 Region IV-W Conference Co-Chair, Corporate Partner Liaison, Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Knowledge Community Representative, and Co-Chair for Major Speakers for the 2009 Regional Conference.
