In March, our lives drastically changed. What we knew as “normal” rapidly changed and we went to survival mode. We learned to function in a virtual world. We attend Zoom meeting after Zoom meetings and do our best to serve our students as best as we can. For some of you, you are working into the wee hours of the night, are handling COVID-19 cases, and trying to bring normalcy to your campus. You have given to your students, colleagues, staff, friends, and family. Now, my question for you, when was the last time you took time for yourself?
Your NASPA IV-West Cabinet and Membership Team sees you and wanted to help you devote some time to YOU. Some of you will say goodbye to students before Thanksgiving and some will welcome students back after but no matter what, I hope your schedules will lighten up so you can utilize these resources. Cabinet and the Membership Team have compiled a variety of books, podcasts, tv shows, team builder activities, and some other miscellaneous items. For the next 7 weeks, you will see on our social media pages suggested items that we want you to utilize to reboot and refresh, take back a little “me” time or use some of the tools for professional development opportunities for your staff.
You all do amazing work on your campuses, your community, and in our NASPA IV-West community. We thank you for all that you do!
