The NASPA IV-W Conference Planning Committee is looking forward to welcoming you to Wichita, Kansas in October!! Yes October! We know that everyone is busy with new student programs and the beginning of a new academic year, but make sure our regional conference is on your radar as it is a few weeks earlier this year. We hope you are planning on joining us as we reflect on 100 years of NASPA.

Early bird registration ends on September 22 so click here and register today!
Venue
The conference will be held at the Wichita Marriott. Room reservations can be made online by clicking here. The cut-off date for the room block is October 5.
Conference Highlights
Mid-Level Institute
The NASPA Mid-Level Institute (MLI) provides an intensive professional development experience that broadens participants’ perspectives on higher education issues, renews commitment to the profession and explores creative leadership strategies. This year’s MLI will take place October 21 – 23, 2018.
The application to participate in MLI is due prior to September 21st, 2018 for consideration. The registration cost is $285 which includes all meals during the Institute. All institute participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, October 21st, before 4:00 p.m. Participants will be notified of selection on or around September 21st, 2018.
Preconference Sessions
Participants will have the opportunity to attend one of two outstanding pre-conference sessions. Additional information regarding the pre-conference sessions is available here.

Conference Schedule
The conference itself will begin on October 23rd at 1:00pm and will offer over 40 different learning sessions in various formats including SA Talks and Deep Dives into Critical Conversations.
Keynote Speakers
This year’s conference will feature keynote comments from:
- Dr. Tim Alvarez, President of Otero Junior College
- Dr. Kathy Obear, Author and Social Justice Expert
- Dr. Mamta Accapadi, Vice President of Student Affairs at Rollins College.

Additional Highlights
We are pleased to continue to develop our time together with new experiences as well as continue several regional programs that have become traditions including the National Undergraduate Fellow Program Institute, Senior Student Affairs Officer Institute, Knowledge Community Trivia Night, and the Women’s Words of Wisdom Reception.
