Success Coach of the Year
This award recognizes a professional or graduate student that has shown innovation above and beyond the role as a professional mentor or coach within the field of success coaching. This award recognizes a success coach that has shown innovation above and beyond the role as a coach within the student affairs field, including but not limited to student support, student impact, program assessment and evaluation, community building, marketing, research, and more.
Eligibility

Faculty, administrators, graduate students, and other professionals in student affairs and higher education will be encouraged to apply1.

Nominees must have at least one academic year of experience in success coaching.

Nominees must demonstrate their unique contributions to success coaching to enhance the life of their students

Nominees must demonstrate the adherence of NASPA professional standards while advancing the field of success coaching

Submissions may represent self-application or nomination.
Award

The Success Coach of the Year award will be presented at the 2024 Annual Conference in Seattle.
Nomination Form Information
Nominators or applicants will be asked to provide the following information for the recipient to be considered for this award:

Length of time as a Success Coach

Brief citation (100-word limit): Summary describing the achievements of the nominee and how they meet the criteria. In writing the citation copy, please compose it to be read aloud easily at the awards ceremony.

How has the nominee demonstrated the criteria listed in the award description?

Evidence that shows how the individual went above and beyond the role of success coach.

Nominees must articulate the extraordinary impact on the lives of their students through their work as a success coach.

Two or more letters of support from supervisor, colleagues, employees, or students supporting the nomination.
Selection

The award recipient will be selected based on the merit of the award, their alignment to NASPA and the SCKC’s values, and impact of their work.
