NASPA’s Transitional Membership is designed to bridge a gap for student affairs professionals who wish to stay connected to the Association while searching for their next opportunity following a job loss.
This expanded Transitional Membership is available at a reduced rate of $40, for one annual renewal or join, with the same benefits that the member had under their previous membership or would have had if they held a previous membership. Eligibility is based on the employment status of the student affairs professional.
In recognition of the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the student affairs profession, the Transitional Membership was created. Since then, the eligibility has been expanded to include both renewing and brand new members who have been furloughed or laid off from a higher education/student affairs position, as well as recent graduate students who have yet to find employment in student affairs. To qualify, applicants must have no current employment and be actively seeking another position within higher education/student affairs. Please review the terms and eligibility requirements below before applying.
Terms and Eligibility Requirements:
To access the transitional membership, please complete this form. You will be required to create a free NASPA account in order to log into the application. Applicants will be contacted within 7 business days of their application submission.
