Presented By

NASPA Global Hours

“To Competency or Not to Competency? That is the Question.”

Join us each month for a panel discussion of the NASPA/ACPA Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Educators. We will welcome panelists from different institutions and regions around the world to talk about the need for a common vocabulary and to discuss applying the competencies in context.

Session 1: June 27 – We will introduce the competencies conceptually and talk about the need to have a common vocabulary for student affairs practice around the globe. We will also discuss the importance of context in understanding and using the competencies as student affairs professionals.
