Rethinking Student Behavioral Health Services: A College-Company Collaboration

Improving college behavioral health services is a high priority for students and administrators for a variety of reasons including the connections to retention and academic success. Northeastern, a university committed to innovation, is working with Christie Campus Health (CCH) to strengthen its student behavioral health services. CCH offers a customizable program that is designed to complement and extend counseling center efforts, combine personal service and technology elements, and be available to students 24/7/365 in the US and abroad.  Innovative approaches to behavioral health services are especially needed given the disruptive impacts of COVID-19 on student behavioral health and college finances.

Return to Campus, Contact Tracing and Beyond

Now more than ever, it is critical to understand the needs of students, faculty and staff to manage and coordinate their return to campus and establish enhanced levels of safety and operations through contact tracing and risk management. Everbridge Contact Tracing allows higher education institutions to: conduct daily surveys with students, faculty and staff to assess their health status through symptom checks and provide evidence of verification.  Gain a full assessment and understanding of risk factors on campus through wellness checks. Facilitate Self Reporting mechanisms. Proactively notify those that may have been exposed based upon established proximity and duration thresholds with guidance. Provide assistance and relevant information for those that have tested positive.
