2023 NASPA Region III Summer Symposium

The NASPA Region III Summer Symposium Committee invites you to join us at the Swan and Dolphin in Orlando, Florida!  The 2023 NASPA Region III Summer Symposium is a four-day gathering of student affairs professionals who come together to reflect, learn, network and be inspired.

This year’s conference theme is "Innovation, Communication, and Charting a Path Forward''. The 2023 Region III Summer Symposium is looking ahead as we embark on a post-pandemic vision, where we go, and how it impacts our work. Through inspiring keynote presentations, thought-provoking educational sessions, numerous opportunities to reconnect with colleagues and make new friends, the NASPA III Summer Symposium will be a premier, future-focused professional development experience.

Event Health, Safety, and Responsibility

With ongoing public health emergencies, NASPA is prepared to manage our place-based events with the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees, staff, presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers in mind. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, NASPA staff, service providers, and others are expected to abide by our code of conduct and all polices in effect for any event sponsored by the Association.

We will continue to monitor and update safety precautions for all of our conferences regularly and coordinate with trusted national resources, state and local public health agencies, and the hotels/venues hosting our events.

In all cases, we will continue to assess the risks in the area local to the event and the current status in the United States. In keeping with the Association's duty of care and the responsibility as host, NASPA has implemented safety requirements for many of our place-based convenings.

We reserve the right to modify these policies and procedures at any time given the rapidly changing nature of any current and ongoing public health emergencies.

Registration

Registration as a member is based on individual membership status at the time of the event. If your current membership will expire prior to the event, you will have the option to renew at the time of registration to receive the member rate.

If you are not a current member and are employed by a college or university that is an institutional member, you can join as a professional affiliate member for $80. If your institution is NOT a member, you can join as an associate affiliate member for $250. Both membership types provide access to the individual member rate for the event. Please visit the membership section of the NASPA website to learn more about membership types and benefits. We hope you’ll consider joining today!

Refunds will be given for cancellations, received in writing by May 19, 2023, less a $50.00 processing fee. In addition, a processing fee of $50.00 per registration will be charged for credit cards declined.

For payment with a check or institutions interested in registering a group of attendees, please follow these steps:  

1. Have the participant(s) register individually, and upon checkout please select the "Bill Me Later" option. Please note that a NASPA account is required to register. For more information about setting up a NASPA account, please visit our website
 

2. Upon check-out every paticipant will recieve a confirmation email with an invoice. Ask each participant to forward their confirmation email, which will have their registration fees and invidivual participant invoice number.

3. Add the total amount of all the registration and additional fees.

4. Issue a check for the total amount of all the registration and additional fees to the "2023 NASPA Region III Summer Symposium". In the memo or check stub, please list each individual participant invoice number, which can be found in the forwarded invoice.

5. Mail the check to the following address:

2023 NASPA Region III Summer Symposium will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida from June 8-11, 2023.  The Summer Symposium will bring together at least 300 student affairs practicioners for in-person shared learning experiences, networking, and future planning. ​

Region III is dedicated to serving the needs of NASPA members in what would broadly be described as the Southeastern United States. Our regional challenge is to fulfill the national mission by offering professionally relevant and personally meaningful activities to NASPA members in our geographic area, which encompasses the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia; the Central American country of Mexico; the Caribbean Islands of the Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago; the Bermuda Islands; the African countries of Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa; the Eastern European country of Bulgaria; the Middle Eastern countries of Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates; and the East Asian countries of Taiwan and Japan.
