A NASPA Community Award
The mission of the Spirituality and Religion in Higher Education Knowledge Community is to enhance and contribute to the conversations about spirituality in higher education across all types of post-secondary institutions. This knowledge community welcomes practitioners, students and faculty members from the profession of student affairs as well as persons for whom spirituality and religion constitute a major element of their work in higher education.
Currently the Spirituality and Religion in Higher Education Knowledge Community wishes to recognize extraordinary efforts for college student spiritual and religious development by presenting two annual awards.
The Outstanding Spiritual Initiative Award is given annually to recognize a program that promotes spiritual and religious growth on a college campus. The program or initiative chosen should demonstrate a significant impact on a college campus by promoting spiritual and religious engagement among the student body. Special consideration will be given to creative programs that reach an interfaith or multifaith campus audience. Nominations for the award must provide evidence for why the campus program or initiative should be considered. In order to be eligible for the award, the campus(es) that benefited from the program must be institutional members of NASPA. A professional who works with the campus program or initiative may nominate.
