The Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community Womxn’s Issues Professional Development Access Grants are awarded annually to support attendance at the NASPA Annual Conference by NASPA members and student members.

The purpose of the Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community Womxn’s Issues Professional Development Access Grants is to provide an opportunity for WISA KC members and NASPA student members to strengthen their work related to womxn’s issues through access to learning, sharing of knowledge, advocacy, networking, and other professional development activities to be gained by attending the NASPA Annual Conference. 

Recipients of this grant will:

  • Receive an access grant to be used to fund the conference registration fee for the NASPA Annual Conference (~$500 for professional-level registration, ~$200 for graduate students). 

    • Recipients of the Access Grants will work with the NASPA office to utilize these funds.

  • Be highlighted through WISA KC’s social media, email communication, and other channels.

  • Be recognized at the WISA KC Open Meeting during the NASPA Annual Conference.

Write a blog post for the WISA KC Blog after the conference highlighting the learning, sharing, advocacy, networking, and other benefits gained through their conference attendance.

Award Criteria

In order to receive the Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community Womxn’s Issues Professional Development Access Grants one must meet the folllowing requirements:

  • Applicants must be either a NASPA member or student member
  • Applicant must demonstrate how their current or future work is connected to womxn’s issues and how attending the NASPA Annual Conference will support and/or strengthen the impact of their work.
  • Applicant must articulate how their goals for attending the NASPA Annual Conference will contribute to their development within at least one of the NASPA Professional Competencies.
