Institutional System Membership

For institutions that operate in multiple locations with a single most senior student affairs officer, the full system can join with an Institutional System Membership. In an Institutional System Membership, the campus with the most senior student affairs officer (Voting Delegate) serves as the Primary Campus and other locations are identified as Additional Campus Members. Additional Campus Members receive the individual membership benefits of the Institutional membership with the option to upgrade their campus’s membership at a discount to designate an additional Voting Delegate and receive full Institutional Member benefits.

Additionally, for institutions that have a system office that operates independently from individual campuses within the system, the office can join with a stand-alone system office membership.

How are dues calculated?

• For 4-year institutions, institutional dues are calculated based on the full time equivalent enrollment and annual education and general fund expenditures as reported on the US Department of Education’s IPEDS data. For system memberships, dues are calculated from the FTE and GFE of every campus within the system. For community colleges, institutional dues are calculated based on your full-time equivalent enrollment as reported to the U.S. Department of Education's IPEDS data.For system memberships, dues are calculated from the FTE of every campus within the system.
• Additional Campus Members who wish to upgrade to an Institutional Membership will be calculated at 20% of the membership dues for just that campus’s FTE and GFE (4-year) and FTE (community colleges).
• For non-U.S. institutions, institutional dues are set at a flat rate.
