"Wanda Swan is a nationally-recognized higher-ed professional and the founder and Executive Director of The Swan Center for Advocacy & Research, Inc., a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) that prioritizes survivors of violence who identify as Black and/or African-American. She has been embedded in the anti-violence movement for over 12 years and has worked in both collegiate and community/non-profit spaces as a survivor advocate, preventionist, speaker, technical assistance provider, and scholar activist.  An active presence on national platforms, Wanda is the co-founder and current co-facilitator of Campus Advocacy and Prevention Professionals Association (CAPPA), the countrty's first national professional organization for campus-based anti-violence professionals. She also co-founded and currently chairs NASPA's Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevention Education and Response Knowledge Community (SRVPER KC).  Lastly, she is currently leading a national Pandemic Safety Planning working group with anti-violence professionals across the country to create pandemic-specific protocols and guidance to ensure anti-oppressive trauma-informed support to survivors during COVID-19."
