Liam Rice (he/him/his) is currently the Assistant Director for Student Conduct/Residence Director at Emmanuel College (Boston), where he coordinates residence hall student conduct, resident assistant training, on-call emergency interventions, and oversees a residence hall of first-year students and the department’s digital engagement. He is currently the Founding Editor for NASPA's Journal of Technology & Higher Education: Emerging Practice, a scholarly compendium exploring the impact and intersections of technology and higher education. He is also the Region I Representative for the NASPA Technology Knowledge Community and presents across the country on higher education, social media, digital communities, and student development. His current research focuses on social media and new student affairs professional identity development. Rice received an M.S. in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University. Rice also graduated from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, with a B.S in Applied Economics and a B.A. in Literary and Cultural Studies, with a dual minor in Finance and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. He firmly believes any educator can (and should) foster a vibrant digital campus community.
