Associate Vice President and Chief of Campus Safety
Referred to as “Chief O” by the student body, John Ojeisekhoba serves as associate vice president & chief of campus safety at Biola University, John Ojeisekhoba has served the Biola University community since 1999. He developed and implemented what he refers to as the Campus Safety Model, identifying key areas to accomplish the department’s mission; safety and security, campus partnership and community engagement program, customer service and reputation, a robust campus emergency preparedness system, and international travel safety and resilience program. Chief John serves as an adjunct faculty member at Biola University, is a member of the President’s Advisory Council, a Commissioner for the City of La Mirada Public Safety Commission, a sworn reserve police officer in the city of Garden Grove, California, and IACLEA’s vice president for finance. Chief Ojeisekhoba is a recipient of numerous awards which include Campus Safety Magazine’s Director of the Year Award, a Special Achievement Award from the Biola University Board of Trustees, the Mayor of La Mirada Award, the National Clery Compliance Officer Award from the National Association of Clery Compliance Professionals, and the President’s Award from IACLEA. Chief Ojeisekhoba received a master’s degree in International Business from Biola University in 2000, and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in 2004.
