Dawna Jones currently serves as assistant dean of students and adjunct instructor, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UNC-Chapel Hill, Dawna chairs the Carolina Black Caucus and UNC Financial Literacy Consortium and is a member of the Carolina FIRSTS Advisory Board. Dawna is a social worker and committed community advocate. She serves as an affordable housing advocate on the Chapel Hill Housing Advisory Board and is committed to championing support for food and housing insecure individuals in Chapel Hill, especially at UNC. Dawna has degrees in Sociology (BA), Higher Education Management (M.Ed) and Social Work (MSW) and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Transformative Leadership for Civic and Community Engagement at the North Carolina A&T State University.
