David Grady has led large, complex student-centered organizations on campuses of large, public research universities. Most recently, he served as the Vice President for Student Life at The University of Alabama. There, he was responsible for many student-centered programs, services, and activities on campus including the Career Center, Center for Service and Leadership, Counseling Center, Dean of Students, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Housing and Residential Communities, Student Care and Well-Being, Student Conduct, Student Health Center and Pharmacy, Student Involvement, University Recreation, Veteran and Military Affairs, and Women and Gender Resource Center. Before the University of Alabama, Dr. Grady served in progressive leadership positions for 23 years at the University of Iowa, most recently as Associate Vice President and Dean of Students.
Dr. Grady earned a BBA in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University, a EdM from Harvard University, and a PhD in higher education administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
