Previously recognized by NASPA with the Doris Ching Award for Excellence as a Student Affairs Professional, Dr. David E. Jones is the Director of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Prior to joining Rutgers, his career in student affairs included serving in various leadership roles in residence life, student conduct ,and multicultural affairs. David holds a doctorate of education in organizational leadership and communication from Northeastern University, a master of education in college student affairs from the University of South Florida, and a bachelor of science in communications from Eastern Connecticut State University. He maintains an active NASPA agenda, regularly presenting at regional and national conferences and serving on the NASPA Region II Advisory Board and the African American Male Summit leadership team. He has previously served NASPA as a member of the SA Speaks Committee, NASPA Region II conference planning committee, and a faculty member for the NUFP Dungy Leadership Institute.
