Last fall, the Student-Athlete Knowledge Community posted information about the University of Michigan’s Athletes Connected Pilot Project, which was funded by the NCAA’s Innovations in Research Grant.
There is a newly available article showing some of the findings of the pilot, which has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
Also, the Athletes Connected project team will be discussing the program and plans for the future at the upcoming University of Michigan Depression on College Campuses Conference, March 11-12 in Ann Arbor, MI: http://www.depressioncenter.org/docc/
The theme for this year’s conference is “Managing the Culture of Stress,” which applies to all students, not just student athletes. This is a multi-disciplinary conference with attendance to include many Student Affairs professionals.
