NASPA VKC Awards 2020-2021

Once again this year, the NASPA Veterans Knowledge Community (VKC) is accepting nominations for both the Supra et Ultra Award and the Ally and Advocate Award. The purpose of these awards are to recognize the outstanding work individuals do with relation to supporting and/or advancing military-connected students. The VKC Supra et Ultra award currently exists to recognize outstanding services and contributions from those who support our military-connected students, however that award is restricted solely for individuals who are active members of NASPA.

The VKC also acknowledges that great work happens across many lines of work and organizations, not all of which would be appropriate for an individual to be an active NASPA member. The VKC want to highlight those who work in higher education, in addition to those whose work impacts higher education. The VKC Ally and Advocate Award is reserved for individuals outside of NASPA who have gone above and beyond in their service to military-connect students and military communities in higher education throughout the country, and for whom the VKC Awards Selection Committee feel additional accolades are in order to recognize this professional’s passion and dedication.

These awards will be presented every year at the NASPA Symposium on Military-Connected Students. Nominations are due October 20th.
