The recipient of this award has made distinctive contributions to their campus, the profession, and the educational experiences of Indigenous students.

 Criteria

Evaluation of nominees will be made based on demonstration of the following criteria:

  • The nominee has demonstrated expertise of practices that promote the learning and development of Indigenous students.

  • The nominee has displayed deep care and noteworthy service to Indigenous students.

  • The nominee has contributed significantly to the profession and their institution (e.g., presented a paper or workshop locally or at a tribal, state, regional, or national conference; conducted research; mentored Indigenous graduate students and new Indigenous professionals; campus committee involvement; and professional association involvement).
